This was the first literary translation I worked on. I read this story for the first time while working towards my undergrad degree and I fell in love with it at first read. I knew right away that it would require quite a bit of playing around with words and expressions in order to make it a faithful but accurate translation in English. Every time I open it up, I always find new ways to express certain phrases but here's a small taste of it.
