Summary

I am a Brazilian-Portuguese Native who was raised in the United States and speaks English as a second native language; I am also fluent in Spanish. I have studied Portuguese formally growing up in Brazil in elementary school as well as during my undergraduate years at the University of Minnesota. I have also studied the Spanish language, culture and literature formally in school for over 8 years. In 2013, I studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a full semester, taking courses solely in Spanish. Overall I have a very solid understanding of all three languages and their cultures having experienced them all first hand.

I have a year's worth of experience working with translation and learning about translation theory in a classroom setting. I have primarily worked on literary translations but have also worked on other types of texts such as news articles, medical texts and technical manuals. I earned a major in Spanish and Portuguese Studies from the University of Minnesota as well as a minor in Translation.
